Lyall Bay School Renovation

In August 2022, Built Construction Group started a renovation project at Lyall Bay School for the Ministry of Education. The purpose is to improve the school’s functionality, and provide a school building that’s structurally safe, watertight, and free from mould and bacteria, extending its life.

190 Lambton Quay Seismic Upgrade​

In 2021, Built Construction Group was engaged by Martin Bonifant of Littlejohns Buildings to undertake a seismic upgrade of the multi-storey building at 190 Lambton Quay in central Wellington. The building needed strengthening work to meet earthquake standards for safe public use.

Mamari Townhouse Development

In mid-2021, Kurt Gibbons recruited Built Construction Group to create a multi-unit housing development at 1 Mamari Street, Rongotai. The development involved constructing 14 modern townhouses in blocks of four, three, two and one – everything from the foundations and framing to the internal fit-out and finishing.

Mac’s Brewbar Seismic Upgrade

In 2020, Property For Industry Limited engaged Built Construction Group to carry out a seismic upgrade of Shed 22 at 23–33 Cable Street (also known as 4 Taranaki Street), Wellington Waterfront. The building is home to popular Mac’s Brewbar, operated by Kāpura, Wellington Hospitality Group.

Lancaster Residential Renovation

In 2019 and 2020, Built Construction Group converted two flats into a three-flat property for Matt Pankhurst at 11 Lancaster Street, Karori in Wellington. The third flat was built into the existing basement.

Aotea High-end Residential New Build

From 2019 to 2021, Built Construction Group constructed a 418m2 high spec three-bedroom home for Graeme & Linda McInteer at 5 Eglinton Close, Aotea, Porirua City. The structure was positioned to take advantage of the amazing vista over Porirua Harbour and Mana Island, creating a great space for entertaining family…

Ryman Healthcare Refurbishments

In 2018, Ryman Healthcare engaged Built Construction Group to undertake significant renovation work at three of its retirement villages in the Wellington region, being Rita Angus (Kilbirnie), Shona Macfarlane (Avalon), and Malvina Major (Johnsonville). Ryman Healthcare has over 40 retirement villages across Australasia.

Bond Street Seismic Upgrade

In February 2018, Greg Mouroukis engaged Built Construction Group to undertake a seismic upgrade to strengthen the two-storey building at 14–20 Bond Street, Central Wellington. The building’s ground floor is occupied by numerous food and retail shops, while the second floor is home to the Fork & Brewer bar.
